We respond to a pointed listener rebuke of one of our testimony episodes. What should we do when someone tells their story in ways we doubt or disagree with? Are testimonies meant to be evaluated for precision and balance, or are they to be received as accounts of lived experience? We discuss concerns about truthfulness and contradiction, and we engage with the question of how Christians can listen when stories are shaped more by experience than by argument.
